Man I can't believe we come from the same family! You sure you ain't my kid and not my sister's?

If I see McCain or Palin putting air quotes around "health of the mother" or any other Obama or Biden statement to try to trivialize their views or opinions, or hear about "Joe the Plumber" any more I'm gonna have blood pouring out of my ears.

And no matter who wins, the American public with its short attention span and 30 minute sitcom mentality is going to expect the next president to have solved all the current economic, healthcare and national defense issues within the first 6 months of being in office.

With all the information available to us now via TV and the web, I think people have gotten dumber! They believe anything and take what every talking head on TV says as gospel. Don't bother going to Obama's or McCain's websites and check their policies direct from the source. Instead pass around viral emails and YouTube videos that take comments or photos out of context and rationalize your vote for your candidate.

And with religion you can take any verse from the Bible to the Karan and rationalize any point of view. Just like in a political campaign.

Truth is in the ear of the beholder. Too bad most Americans don't appear to have much filler between their ears!

I couldn't agree with you more.
It also seems like the Republican party will have an excuse for everything.
It's pretty ridiculous.

I'm tired of hearing Maverick, Joe six-pack and Joe plumber. OY! Enough! It's like that really great song you hear the first time, then after the 1000th time, it's so annoying you want to throw the radio out the window.

I agree, McCain seems to be projecting here.

Don't you get how Rovian Doublespeak works yet? :)

Attack your opponent's strengths, and repeat the lies until they become truth. On the Friday before the election, expect the McCain campaign to accuse Obama of being 72 years old and a cancer survivor.

Sometimes I find that insight, understanding, and acceptance just doesn't cut it in these Rovian times. Like today, for example, when I created fake interview with Michelle Bachmann...

I will have all the civility and kind words in the world for my conservative friends...on Nov. 5th.

Great post, and welcome.

Cheers
